With the release of Without Returns second full-length album Echo Lake, Jack Beltz has once again set out to re-invent what Without Return is all about. Deciding to make a larger sound this time around. When asked about what he was trying to accomplish with Echo Lake Jack said;

“With Echo Lake I wanted to see how far I could take the sounds that I had developed with Calm Winter. I wanted to see if I could make an album that sounded like a live band playing in a room together. I tried to make the album larger than the last one. I think I accomplished what I set out to do.”

During the song Look Up Hannah Jack Beltz sings, “This time everything will be alright…” a theme that reoccurs throughout the album. So hopefully when you listen to Echo Lake it will make things feal alright at least for a little while.
